According to multiple media reports, GGG is on the verge of signing a multi-fight deal with DAZN. Promoter Tom Loeffler stated GGG will decide where and who he signs with. Saying “I can’t comment on that because nothing is signed yet. He’s going to make the decision and he’s going to make the announcement. Whenever he does something he’s going to make the announcement. There’s a lot of speculation out there and I keep telling people is instead of speculating and wait to make the announcement and you can report on the facts on what he’s doing.”
The WBO will hold a purse bid for the mandatory defense of Jaime Munguia’s 154-pound belt against mandatory challenger Dennis Hogan, as per Sections 11 -13 of the WBO regulations and as ordered by the WBO World Championship Committee. The official purse bid will be held on March 4th at 10:00 a.m. ET at the WBO’s headquarters in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The WBO gave both sides 30 days to reach an agreement, which they were unable to do. The sides were in talks to potentially place the bout on the Canelo Alvarez vs. Daniel Jacobs card on May 4th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Depending who wins the bid that card is still certainly a possibility.
