After not sitting out his entire six-month suspension and looking lackluster and completely overweight in his most recent outing “Superb” Billy Joe Saunders will be fighting for the WBO 168-pound title. Billy Joe Saunders will be taking on top-ranked WBO Super Middleweight by the name of Shefat Isufi (27-3-2,20 KOs) for the vacant WBO Super Middleweight title on April 13 at the Wembley Arena in London, England. Isufi is largely unknown to American fight and is largely untested on at the elite level, his most notable win came aging veteran Rafael Sosa Pintos, back in February of last year. Isufi won the fight by wide UD.

If the June 1st heavyweight title fight between IBF, WBA and WBO champion Anthony Joshua and Brooklyn based challenger Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller is anything like the press conference was, the fans are in store for something truly special and unique. At Today’s press conference the two massive heavyweights exchanged words “I am going to knock him the f*** out. He is a drug abuser. He’s a kickboxer. I am going to knock him out. Where’s your mother? I am paying her rent with this. She will come here and watch a real champion fight,” Joshua said and went on to say “Jarrell Miller is a little b*tch. I am going to throw this jab down his throat. For a guy that is 300 pounds, he punches like a fairy. June 1st – this is going to be a show. Come out and watch this one New York. I am not up here playing the gangster role.”

The WBC has postponed the purse bid for the immediate rematch it ordered between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury the second postponement was indefinite according to the organization’s president Mauricio Sulaiman because representatives for Fury and Wilder were in the process of negotiating. That’s when Monday morning’s shocking announcement was made public. Fury had signed a co-promotional agreement with Bob Arum’s Top Rank Inc. and ESPN complicated Wilder-Fury a fight that seemed academic now looks unlikely. To which Bob Arum stated“[The purse bid] doesn’t factor into it at all,” Arum told BoxingScene.com. “The WBC wants the fight to happen. Good luck to them. But we don’t need them to tell us how the purses should be. That’ll come with reasonable negotiations.” The veteran promoter went on to add “Well, there’s no magic in May 18th,That’s just one day of the year. When it comes time to pick a date for the fight, as long as the fight happens, what difference does it make if it’s in June? Or where it is. I mean, obviously, Las Vegas would be a good place for it and there are other good places for it. But, I mean, that’s to be decided when the time comes.”
