Fighter Spotlight

Ivan Golub, the Ukrainian welterweight, now fighting out of Brooklyn NY, improved his record to a perfect 13-0 (11).  Dismantling a somewhat credible welterweight in James Stevenson. Golub turned pro all but 27 months ago and has been on a rampage ever since with a scintillating Knockout percentage, put his impressive skill set on stage on ShoBox. Golub is fundamentally and technically perfect. He throws a perfect jab, right-hand combination with excellent precision, and head-snapping power. For someone who has been in the pro ranks for just two years, he has an incredibly developed skill set. He has perfect footwork and balance.  He is one to watch, in a loaded division, his name will be at the top f the fighters to avoid. As a reasonable comparison, he really looks at lot like Serhiy Dzinziruk but with one punch power.  Dzinziruk had one noticeable weakness and that was his punching power, give Dzinziruk one punch power and you have something special, you actually have Ivan Golub, Lou Dibella has found himself a gem. I hope Golub can secure a big name in early 2017, if Shane Mosley or Mike Alvarado, or Paulie Malignaggi, whom Dibella already has had a working relationship with, if any of these fighters want to start to rebuild one last comeback, I would love to see Golub step it up against a name like that, if the big names want to avoid the Volk, and I would understand why Dibella also has a Jr.Middleweight named Frank Galarza in his stable that would make an interesting match up.
